Around the Art World in 52 Weeks – Zemer Peled, US

Friday, April 10 2015

Zemer Peled was born and raised in Israel and is currently in residence in Montana, US. She graduated with an MA (Hons) from the Royal College of Art in London, UK in 2012. Peled’s floral sculptures are captivating with themes of nature, memories and identity. She creates each of her sculptures with thousands of ceramic shards, whether the work is in small-scale or large-scale. Her work emulates natural beauty, rhythms and details that you can find in flowers, corals or trees. While we love the details of all her works, we tend to gravitate towards her large-scale pieces.

Peled has exhibited her sculptures in museums and galleries in cities including Paris, London and Tel Aviv. She has recently been featured on Oprah Magazine.
